Marquis Sampson is a native of College Park, Georgia. Marquis’ undergraduate degree is in Criminology, she has a Master Social Work from Walden University, and plans to get her PhD in Psychology from Capella University. She served in the Army Reserve for 8 years and deployed to Iraq.
Marquis has experience working with families, teens, adults and military veterans. She has worked with state agencies and private sector agencies. Marquis currently works at a psychiatric hospital working with mental health diagnosis individuals. Marquis’ passion is to work with individuals dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem/self-image issues. As well as work in low income communities to help families overcome generational trauma.
Marquis uses several strategies to work with her clients to include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, compassion focused therapy, and conflict resolution therapy, to name a few. Marquis will also use various textbooks and workbooks to work with clients, to help them achieve set goals. Marquis will work with you to help you build your confidence and develop your strengths.
