Our Therapy Services

1

Therapy for Black Women

Black women are often pigeonholed as strong caregivers and providers who shoulder others’ burdens, which unfortunately leaves little to no room for their own. In addition to providing emotional labor for the masses, Black women are simultaneously impacted by racism and sexism, all while feeling under pressure to hide their negative emotions to avoid the “angry Black woman” stereotype. Our therapists are working to reduce the stigma around mental health and to make the necessary tools available to Black women. We aspire to help Black women develop healthy boundaries, increase their self-love, turn towards sisterhood, and lift their voices.
